AJ Capital Previews Nashville Mixed-Use Venture

In 2023, AJ Capital Partners paid $87 million for Belle Meade Plaza at 4500 Harding Pike in Nashville and now redevelopment plans are taking shape. The company demolished the retail center anchored by Kroger’s and is close to breaking ground on its first project.

The company unveiled details surrounding the mix of property types that will be developed in stages. First, 80 luxury residences are expected to be completed in late 2027. Those will be combined with rental units, 120 hotel rooms, and a shopping center that would contain five buildings and at least 47,800 square feet of retail space. On its website, the company said about the project, “This 780,000-square-foot mixed-use development includes storefronts and restaurants, condos, and rental apartments within one primely situated walkable community ecosystem.” AJ manages over $5.4 billion in real estate investments in markets throughout the U.S. and U.K.
