Long associated with its seaside resorts and oversized hotel complexes, the Bahamas reveals a completely different face here. Only a quarter of an hour's boat ride from Eleuthera, Harbour Island cultivates a charm of its own. The hotel can be reached by golf cart - the preferred means of transport for the 1,700 or so inhabitants and visitors passing through - although the short distances allow you to do almost everything on foot. True to the island's identity, the Coral Sands Inn & Cottages goes all-over pink, a nod to its direct access to the most beautiful pink sand beach in the Bahamas.
The Coral Sands Inn & Cottages was founded in 1968 by Hollywood actor and former fighter pilot Brett King and his wife Sharon. Falling under the spell of the magnetic tranquility of Harbour Island, they chose never to leave and gave birth to a confidential address, designed as a refuge from the world. In an archipelago prized by celebrities and aesthetes, where discretion is elevated to a way of life, the Coral Sands quickly established itself as a place apart. Bought in 2024 by the real estate and hotel group AJ Capital Partners, the establishment has undergone an ambitious renovation, reinterpreting its identity with elegance. Ranked as one of the most emblematic hotels on the island, it now combines the charm of its heritage with resolutely contemporary comfort.
