AJ Capital Unveils 1 Iris Lane in Belle Meade Village

A carousel, massive private park and million-dollar homes are part of the sweeping vision to transform the gateway to Belle Meade.

Nashville-based AJ Capital Partners revealed new renderings and details surrounding Belle Meade Village, a 15.5-acre mixed-use development on the site of the former Belle Meade Plaza.

The residential and retail development will offer green space, public walkways, and a central courtyard anchored by an antique carousel, as well as dozens of new storefronts, luxury residences, and a boutique hotel. Belle Meade Village is set to break ground in the last quarter of 2025, with an expected completion in 2028.

1 Iris Lane is the new name dubbed for the luxury condo buildings part of the larger Belle Meade Village development. AJ Capital announced the sales gallery for 1 Iris Lane, which comprises of two boutique residential buildings with 46 for-sale units each, will open on Nov. 3.

1 Iris Lane will offer 16,000 square feet of amenity space including a library, piano room, golf simulator, whiskey and cigar rooms, as well as private mahjong and poker rooms. Other amenities include a pilates studio, sauna, spa, private pool and cabanas and a cold plunge, among others.

Renowned design firm Meyer Davis is leading interior design for the residences, and Fridrich & Clark Realty is handling sales.

“1 Iris Lane, The Residences at Belle Meade Village is an unprecedented development. We have not seen anything like it in Nashville, more so in the whole Southeast,” Steve Fridrich, president and managing partner of Fridrich & Clark Realty, said in a release. “The location plays a major role into why this whole development will be a success.”

With its prime property at the corner of Harding Pike and White Bridge Pike, AJ Capital is setting out to create a new town square in the center of the project with a signature historic carousel.

The retail village at the new development, which will be comprised of seven two- and three-story buildings, will offer more than 40 storefronts which will include local and global retailers, restaurants, a boutique hotel, a member’s club and health and wellness offerings.

“The retail is another exciting part of this whole development,” Fridrich said. “Residents can live, exercise and access a suite of amenities, but also walk down the street to have a wonderful meal."

AJ Capital is largely known as the driving force behind the transformation of Wedgewood Houston. While still underway on several new developments in Wedgewood Houston, the firm’s new project aims to transform the entrance to one of Nashville’s most established residential neighborhoods.
